We took Toby in his go cart to Highlander park late this afternoon after we made meatloaf together and put it in the oven. He loves his go cart rides.
It was 75 degrees on our morning causeway walk with a 7 mph breeze. Lots of clouds kept it comfortable. The high temperature today was in the mid 80s.
After lunch, I enrolled us in our health care plan for the upcoming year.
Toby broke out with new bumps today. We gave him a DermaBens bath and started him on Zertec antihistamine. Zertec is supposed to make him less drowsy. I think as long as he doesn’t start scratching the bumps, we can control them. It’s when he scratches them and breaks the skin that they can become infected. That’s what happened last time when we had to get antibiotics to clear up the infection. It looks like every 4-5 days, he develops bumps. We’ve started a log of his meds and baths to see if we see a pattern.
From the front he looks great. Because his fur is so thin, it’s easier to see his bumps than if he had long hair, especially when looking against the grain. I think we would still notice them though.
We enjoyed our meatloaf and green beans for dinner. Good comfort food.
Miles walked: 10.8
Miles biked: 9.06

Sorry that Toby is still having skin allergies.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed a Holiday Cooking Class with Pam at her church tonight. She has great church friends. Another retired minister wife was my favorite. I didn’t know her status until her husband came to pick her up and got to telling me his retirement story. Got to see her minister who is very likeable.
ReplyDeleteYour meatloaf sounds delicious. Hope Toby is better soon.
Love to all. Mom
