We stayed home with Toby today. We tried to keep him inside most of the day. We rinsed him off in the shower after his morning and evening walks. We cleaned his feet really well every time he went out to pee. We also vacuumed and mopped the floor. He's on Benadryl twice a day.
He hasn't broken the skin today.
We did let him play fetch this afternoon.
He got rinsed off and we cleaned his feet.
We took a couple of golf cart rides to keep him from getting bored. One trip was to Bambino's to pick up pizza.
We're a little discouraged at the lack of progress in healing. He doesn't appear to be uncomfortable. Luckily, he doesn't mind taking showers. We're not sure if anything we're doing is helping.
Our Mr. Coffee coffee maker needed replacing. We decided to try this pour over variety of coffee maker. You put the coffee grounds in the reusable filter, heat water to 205 degrees, and pour over the grounds slowly. Remove the filter and pour. This is an even simpler version than the French press. We'll try it tomorrow morning. This coffee maker only costs $20.

So sorry for Toby’s skin issues. Should I send him my skin care routine? Hope he will respond to a cure soon. At least he seems to be a perfect patient!!!! Love to all.
ReplyDeleteYou’ll have to let me know how that coffee maker works out! -Andy
ReplyDeleteThe coffee maker is similar to the one Jeff uses on the boat. A lot of work and if I had to make coffee, I would be at a loss.
ReplyDeleteRegarding Toby’s skin issues. Remember I suffered for years with itching skin issues. I was treated with topical steroids, changed soaps, did away with dryer sheets, used only white towels and wash clothes but the game changer was when I switched dermatologists and the new one treated with antibiotics for a skin infection and the itching went away and so did the steroids.
