Our day started off cold, 54 degrees. We all bundled up for Toby's early morning walk.
We came home and had hot tea instead of walking on the causeway. John played his computer game and I worked on the puzzle some more.
After lunch, we swabbed Toby's cheeks, twice, 15 seconds each, and mailed his DNA sample to be analyzed. We should know something about his ancestry in 2-3 weeks.
After putting his results in the mail, I took off on my bike to go to the gym.
By mid-afternoon, the temperature had warmed up to 65 degrees, still cold on a bike.
I had a good workout to finish the week.
John stayed home and baked a sweet potato pie, a practice pie for Thanksgiving. He used my mom's microwave potato cooker.
The pie turned out great. We had a late afternoon taste and more after dinner.
I think Toby appreciates his new jacket. He's got so little fur that I know he must get cold on these early morning walks.
We finished watching "Family Secrets" on Netflix tonight. It's a Polish series about a couple of mixed up families where the young couple goes to the church to get married, only to be interrupted dozens of times due to family drama. Lots of flashbacks. The viewer doesn't get a clear picture of the chaos until the last episode. Truly, the wedding that will never end. What a mess!
Toby continues to hold off the allergens. His skin is healing, and his coat is filling in the rough spots.
Miles walked: 6.5
Miles biked: 6.09

Pretty boy Toby!
ReplyDeleteGood report on Toby. Getting a report on Toby’s DNA sounds exciting. Glad to see you used the baking potato cooking glove. I use mine all the time. Especially nice in the summer by not having to heat up the kitchen. Impressed with your pie. I baked some pumpkin muffins a few days ago. Going to GStone in the morning to work on prep for Celebration of Lights. Quite a production for Christmas. Love to all.
