Saturday

Toby thought it was too cold to get out of bed.

He stuck his nose out just to be sure.

He decided to stay under the blanket and nap some more with John. Our house was 71 degrees without air or heat today.

It was 54 degrees on our early morning walk. After that, we stayed inside and had some hot tea and waited until after lunch to get outside.

After lunch, we rode our bikes to the causeway and walked. It had warmed up to a respectable 70 degrees, so we were back to t-shirts.

The skies were cloudy but still pretty.

We stopped at an open house for the new condos on the last stretch of land before getting to the drawbridge. There's a 4-car garage on the ground floor (parked in tandem), and two floors above that, balconies on both sides with water views from both. The balconies gave me vertigo because they were so flimsy and there was no border at the bottom.

10 foot ceilings, very nice finishes. 1.4 million, 3025 square feet, 3 bedrooms/4 baths. $1,465 HOA, per month. The listing agent recognized us from walking the causeway.

The Pinellas Trail was busy.

We saw every kind of clothing: shorts and bare chested to sweats and winter parkas. The snowbirds are in short sleeves while the natives are bundled up.

Last walk of the day

Miles walked: 10.5
Miles biked: 5.27

  1. I’m with Toby but had to pop up and out to help with a Christmas project at church. It is very cold here 29 early morning but it did get better. I cut the patio drooping vincas back today. The last of the summer flowers. Love to all.

  2. Jeff had a part in Fred Clifford’s funeral today. He did a great job. The sailors sat together and we had lunch afterwards. It was a sweet service.

We started watching seaside Hotel. A Dalton Abbeish slant set it Denmark. I am hooked.
