The high temperature today occurred during our causeway walk this morning. It was 73 degrees, falling into the lower 70s as the day progressed. The water had a lot of silt in it from storm run off, making it appear green.

There wasn't a whole lot of sun today, mostly cloudy.

There were some patches of blue.

We passed a lot of bikers on our way home.

Low on energy, I decided to tackle our sprinkler blowout since it's mostly a sit down and think activity.

I spotted the problem fairly easily once I uncovered everything. A plastic coupling had split, presumably under pressure of a heavy mower. I happened to have an extra one, so it was easy to replace.

While I was testing the fix, I spotted a nearby sprinkler leaking profusely. I think I had noticed it before but decided to ignore it. But, since I had all my tools out, I dug it up to inspect. I couldn't see anything obvious. Even after using plumber's tape on all the joints, it still leaked, so I decided to replace the entire unit. I happened to have a spare that I had bought for a previous repair. That did the trick. 

Two repairs using parts purchased previously. Lucky me.

John got some Christmas lights for the golf cart.

We took Toby to Stirling Park for an afternoon walk. He’s being shy in the picture above. He’s had several good skin days. We haven’t had to bathe him for three days!

If he doesn’t break out after this, he is likely over his seasonal allergies.

I was going to wash the car, but overcast skies and temperatures in the low 70s convinced me to wait for a warmer day.

I decided to prepare my 2022 tax document checklist.
