Thursday

We've had a very relaxed day today because of Hurricane Nicole. We managed two short walks with Toby between downpours. His skin looks pretty good today as there were no allergens in the air today, just water.

Mid afternoon we were in the thick of it. Winds were a bit over 20 mph.

For our last walk of the day, we took advantage of a break between bands of rain. The wind is back down to 13 mph. The rain has been steady until 6:00 pm.

There are lots of leaves and small twigs down, not much more than that. It should be an easy clean up. We never lost power.

Toby found a piece of the puzzle on the floor and tried to eat it. He's been a bit bored today, sitting around with us. He ate a plastic Halloween decoration that he found on the garage floor yesterday. Fortunately, we found it in this morning's poop.

I like the bench for working on the puzzle. You can easily slide back and forth.

I've made some progress today.

We did lots of reading. Toby did a lot of napping. We practiced some of his brain games to tire him out mentally and to keep him from inventing his own games.

We had a bowl of John's chili for dinner.

Miles walked: 1.6
Miles biked: 0

  2. I made pinto beans for dinner. Jeff helped with my star class tonight. John, I am sending you the finished stars for your go cart.

Had a very nice lunch with mom and three of her friends.

Our rain started this afternoon but will get heavier through the night. We are going to Jeff’s boat in Oriental tomorrow and to the Pamlico on Saturday.

I love love the red bench. And you are a much neater puzzle worker than I. You have made progress. I am working on my Christmas truck!
