Wednesday

After our causeway walk this morning, we came home to drop off our bikes and pick up Toby and his go cart. We headed downtown for lunch.

Of course, Toby thinks all downtown paths lead to Salty Paws ice cream store.

Instead, we wound up at Carvor’s for the best human treat: blackened grouper sandwiches.

We stopped by Walgreen's on our way back from the causeway to pick up my thyroid prescription. While we were waiting, we each picked up a new pair of sunglasses, because you can never have enough sunglasses.

Pam tried these whoppers on just for fun. They even had lenses on the sides!

Whoppers

But these were the best.

Nice

Toby was pretty good at Carvor's. There was a shrill and yappy corgi next to us that was very annoying. The owner kept saying, "Don't bark" after every bark, more for the other diners than for her dog, who ignored her. Toby settled down nicely after a few fits and stirs.

We had to wipe Toby down after his morning walk.

The goal is to get as many allergens off of his fur as we can.

Toby thinks it's a game of torture that he's losing.

It was a warm 74 degrees this morning on our causeway walk, a little muggy and cloudy.

Not blazing hot, but not as comfortable as it has been. We rode our bike to the drawbridge and walked to the Honeymoon Island Park entrance. Pam made sure to eat before the walk to save the fire department and EMS a trip.

Pam waited patiently as we made a pit stop.

After lunch, John and Toby took a nap while Pam and I headed to the gym on our bikes.

It was 84 degrees.

Pam wanted her trainer to have evidence that she worked out while she was on vacation.

After our workout, we rode south on the Pinellas Trail to Stevenson's Creek, hoping to see some manatees.

Alas, our timing was off, but the view was spectacular.

So we rode down to Edgewater Drive and rode north back to the marina and then Victorian Drive and then we cut through Weaver Park and met John coming down the Pinellas Trail.

We’re going to watch season two of Young Royals tonight. The young prince falls in love at boarding school with a scholarship boy. Then the prince’s older brother and heir apparent in a car accident. The Queen breaks up the young prince’s relationship and tells the prince that he can no longer be gay as he will inherit the crown one day. Season two begins with the next year at school.
