Saturday (2nd day of winter)

We woke up to 32 degrees and 6 mph breeze. The high today will only be 43. Freeze warnings are in effect to the east (Hillsborough) and hard freeze to the north (Pasco). Pinellas is just under a wind chill advisory. Tampa bay to the east and the gulf to the west keep the peninsula relatively warm.

Nevertheless, it’s the coldest temperature in Dunedin since I’ve been here.

We’ve taken short walks, and only the necessary ones.

Me not cold

We had a bowl of oatmeal and fresh blueberries for breakfast before we set out for our 34 degree walk.

Even in this weather, there is a tree in bloom.

Toby is all snuggled in on his new raised bed.

Mid-afternoon, a neighbor called me to come pick up cookies she was pulling out of the oven. I ended up staying for coffee and chatting. It was good to have a change of scenery.

Miles walked: 3.5
Miles biked: 0

  1. Even though we are introverts we stay for coffee and enjoy one on one conversations. O our way home.

  2. Happy to hear about your great neighbors/friends and glad you are enjoying them. A great way of life. Temperatures will be up to 12 degrees tomorrow. Enjoying lazy days inside. Haven’t run out of things to do yet!
    Love to all. Mom
