We’ve hunkered down inside most of the day because of the rain, which has been quite heavy at times. We even had lightning and thunder. The power flickered off once but came back on.
The rain looked like snow to the camera lens. The consolation was we were still in shorts and t-shirts. The high temperature today was 73 degrees.
The house next door had a stream of water coming off its roof.
We were snuggled in enjoying our new furniture. We tested the rug in Pam’s bedroom for size (5x7) and determined that we need the next largest size: 6x9.
What do you think of this one? It’s inexpensive, polypropylene, $138.

These dreary days are thankfully rare and they help us appreciate the normally beautiful weather.
Toby got his naps in.
We picked up Mapo Tofu for dinner.

While the rug you have chosen is a little wild, it certainly brings in the rust from the living area and the red from the really cool bench in the sunroom and ties in with the terra cotta tile.
ReplyDeleteI stayed in all day except to go to the gym at 4:00. It is freezing and raining and just awful. I didn’t even walk Maggie today. I hope this doesn’t keep up.
Oh and polypropylene is the way to go. I just added a jute polypropylene to my basement steps. It is stain friendly and durable.
ReplyDeleteYour neighbor needs to clean their gutters.
We had rain, rain and more rain AND COLD. Paula, Louise, Robin and myself (new group) went to Burlington for lunch. I made a congealed salad for Yates’ group supper club at Janet’s tomorrow
ReplyDeletenight. Haven’t even looked at weather tomorrow. Tomorrow, I have my 8:00 zoom exercise class and 9:15 gym with my gym trainer. Re the rug. I defer to ya’ll and Pam. Hard to call that important decision. So far ya’ll have knocked your selections out of the park. Love to all.
