I spent a good portion of the day looking for rugs for the sunroom. We like the one in the picture above, but it’s too small and it fits in one of the bedrooms. I think we’ve looked at hundreds. Getting the right colors, size, material, style, and pattern has been most challenging. And it needed to be one we both liked. No easy task.

We finally decided on this one. It has everything we were looking for and we both like it. Plus, it got my sister’s approval who worked in the furniture industry and also represented home accessories lines, including rugs. Not to mention she has an eye for what looks right without applying a rigid formula.

We ordered the last available rug in our size. The new rug should arrive the 31st. Then we can order a rug pad and buy pillows.

It’s been overcast all day. Although it was 69 degrees this afternoon, you wouldn’t have believed it. We were cold and stayed inside except for a run to the pet store and Publix.

The pictures above and below are from our last walk. It was drizzling with thunder and lightning.

The high temperature tomorrow will be at 8:00 a.m. (66 degrees) with temperatures falling through the day. The next morning at 8:00 it will be 34 degrees. For the next 4-5 days, we will be experiencing winter weather before temperatures return to the 70s.

Toby and I practiced his brain games including company knocking on the door. At that one, after the knock, he came to the door and stared at me. I stared back and was determined not to say anything but let him figure it out. A few moments passed; then he turned and got in his bed.

We’ve been invited to our backyard neighbor’s house for Christmas. It will be a standup affair with lots of food and people. Their across the street neighbor has invited us to a New Year’s Eve party. I am very surprised how easy it has been to meet people here. As I’ve said before, I think it has to do with so many new people moving to Florida.
