Finally, we had a normal day, warm enough for shorts all day long. We made it to Stirling Park in the late afternoon for a walk and some fetching.
It was 74 degrees. John’s in his coat because we took the golf cart.
I love the crazy eyes in this photo. Dee Dee used to run so fast that her eyes did this all the time. Such exuberance!
Toby has always been a bit of a goofy runner.
But he has the joy of fetching which is what matters most.
We were playing in the buffer area between two driving ranges that are perpendicular to one another.This area will not be included in the dog park. There is netting but the plan is to make it extra safe and avoid liability issues, I assume.
John took a twofer.
After lunch, I rode my bike to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park to exercise.
Did some pull ups. Talked to the regulars, mostly about the weather. It topped out at 75 degrees today. No complaints.
This morning we were able to ride our bikes out to the causeway and walk. The temperature was in the mid 60s by the time we finished.

We were both in t-shirts by the end of the walk.
John made some awesome spaghetti for dinner. Garlic toast, no butter.
Our Amazon shipment arrived late tonight. I couldn’t remember all the things we ordered. It felt like Christmas opening the box. We got a new pet waste bag holder. It’s small and sleek. We might get Toby to wear it on his harness so it won’t flop around on the leash. The trick is to place it out of his reach so that he doesn’t attack it when he gets bored.
We ordered a new hand blender after I killed the last one trying to stir my organic peanut butter. John wants to make some soups with it.
We got this huge bag of flaxseed for our smoothies. This was a lot cheaper than Publix.
My favorite purchase: cotton mesh reusable produce bags for grocery shopping. They are awesome. No more single use plastic bags! We got 9 of them in three sizes.

I love love online shopping also. I even ordered my toothpaste online. Trader Joe’s only carries hippie toothpaste and Harris Teeter only had Colgate.

Had a fun day starting with Bible Study at 7:30 am and then Garden Club and the. Lunch out with friends.
Cancelled my gym workout and watched tennis and then went to Knollwood to work with the children. Home watching tennis. Ahhhhh!!!!
What a nice day. Yes envious of your weather. At least we didn’t have rain today. You and Pam are funny re shopping on line. No fun for me. Janet and I share a birthday with our Yates friends. They are coming to Mebane tomorrow for lunch and I have invited them to the house afterwards for dessert. Looking forward to seeing them. Toby looks like fun fun fun.
