It was a beautiful 75 degrees today when I rode my bike to the gym to exercise. 

I had the place to myself a good portion of my visit.

We drove to the causeway this morning so that we could go to the grocery store and load up afterwards. It was an easy walk after taking Sunday off.

Late afternoon, we took Toby in the golf cart to Highlander Park for a long walk. Cutest dog!

We rode our bikes to the causeway plaza tonight to pick up Chinese takeout for dinner.

Tonight was our neighborhood’s annual meeting at the Dunedin Golf Clubhouse. I went mostly to hear the guest speaker, our city manager, Jennifer Bramley. She gave updates on paving, causeway bridge replacement, Stirling Park proposal, and City Hall progress.

Tidbits I learned:

2 million users on the Pinellas Trail last year, a 100% increase in three years.

Dunedin is the most used section, even busier than St. Petersburg.

Plans are underway to lower the trail speed limit downtown from 20 to10 mph.

Plans underway to put pedestrians on each side of the trail with bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, in the middle. No more lines separating users.

Feb 17 city hall should be complete. Open House to follow.

Local art will be on permanent display throughout the building.

Feb 25 Gladys Preserve will open.

Pool/aquatic center 2024 replacement
