The street milling has begun. They finished for the day at the house next door. First they scrape; then they pave.
We biked to the causeway and walked this morning. The temperature was in the mid to upper 60s while we walked. It eventually got up to 80 degrees today.
It was colder in our house than outside, so we took Toby in the golf cart to Highlander Park to warm up.
John is practicing “heel” and automatic sits with Toby.
Great focus!
Pretty tree and sky along the shell path.
I pruned our frangipani (plumeria) this afternoon while the trucks were zooming by. I gave the cutting to my neighbor who’s been wanting one. The branch I cut was hanging over the roof. I’m glad to have that item off my to do list.
I also trimmed the tree in front of our garage so that the branches would not touch the house. It’s a lagustrum (sp?) and it has stirred up my allergies.
We are going to be taking Toby out of the neighborhood for his walks until the paving project is complete and the asphalt has cured. Tonight, we went to Stirling for his last walk.
That’s a “look” command.
How ‘bout that?
In thanks for the frangipani, our neighbors gave us Valentine cheesecake and hi hos, along with a bottle of cough medicine for John’s persistent cough. He first got it during our last cold wave and hasn’t been able to shake it. My neighbor wants to go with me to the gym soon so I can show her how the machines work.
Here’s the play list for the Dunedin Concert Band’s winter concert Sunday, Feb. 13th at 3:00 at the Dunedin Community Center. So far, Mom and Dad have shown interest. John’s going to sit this one out. How about Pam? Let me know and I’ll get tickets. Their conductor says this about the band on their website:
"We don't claim to BE the best, just to DO our best." Stephen P Brown, Conductor
Miles walked: 11
Miles biked: 4.99

I am I for the band concert and love Toby’s focus.
ReplyDeleteGlad you can help your friend with the gym. First time in any gym is intimidating.
Yes for us for the band concert. One of the selections we played at Columbus High. Toby’s expression said I know you love me.
ReplyDeleteHope John’s cough gets better. I too had a cough after New Year’s so aggravating. Love your neighbor.
