Monday

We had lunch outside at the Palm Cafe at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. We got the delicious grilled salmon on pita with the mango slaw. There was a very sweet lab at the table next to us. Toby got excited a couple of times, but he eventually settled down. The other dog was off leash, obviously well behaved. The owner and his friend left the dog at their table alone when they went inside to order.

We are working on getting Toby to settle without having to constantly give him treats. We made progress today. It involves being firm and having Toby test us three or four times before he finally gives up.

The food was simply amazing. What a treat!

We had a good walk on the causeway this morning.

It was cloudy and breezy. The afternoon was sunny and in the mid 80s.

Pelican drying his wings in the breeze.

Here’s John’s picture of the same scene. He takes his time and almost always gets a better shot.

After lunch, I made it to the gym for yoga, pull-ups, and dips. For my yoga, I was alone, but I had company for the other things.

Late afternoon walk at Highlander Park

We had blueberry walnut oatmeal for dinner.

John’s making progress on copying our CDs.

We practiced some of Toby’s tricks for class: wave, spin & twirl, around, pray, and crawl.

Miles walked: 10.8
Miles biked: 10.64

  1. Spent the afternoon by Bill and Becca’s pool. Watched the sunset at Mallory Point. Played Bingo for Charity at The Green Parrot Bar. Met a couple who spends 3 months every year here and another couple who were leaving to go Salsa dancing. Such a fun place. Sitting by the pool having a night cap.
