It’s caterpillar and inchworm season. They are everywhere.
Dangling from every tree and bush
We took it easy today. We did take Toby on neighborhood walks and to Highlander Park. He’s intrigued by an electric skateboard above, and I can’t seem to recall the “leave it” command at the right moment.
Other than that we just chilled out.
I pulled out some cookbooks hoping to get inspired, but it didn’t happen. I told John that looking at cooking directions was like the way he looks at IKEA instructions. I’m not sure if it’s because our kitchen is uninspiring or if it’s because I’m retired, but I just don’t feel like going to the trouble.
Last walk of the day
We’re going to watch some episodes of Toon on Netflix. The main character lacks ambition and direction. The only things he likes are video games and music. Somehow everything he does makes him famous and successful. The more he tries to sabotage his success, the more successful he becomes.
Miles walked: 5.3

I loved watching Toon while we were in Dunedin.
ReplyDeleteI get inspired for cooking from the recipes from the New York Times. I mentioned it to my 40 something neighbor and that is also how she cooks.
I’m having the same motivating cooking syndrome. There are so many other things I had rather do. I will make myself get back to the gym tomorrow. Haven’t been since returning from Dunedin. Dad has been on a smoothie kick. I love it. We had a triple header today. We went to a 8:45 worship at GS, then another worship at 10:45 at Calvary then lunch at the church. Then back to the sanctuary for a recognition service for David Williams for 21 years of service as M/Music. Dad was on the program offering some reflections. David’s wife recently had to be put in a memory care facility. They are in their early 70’s. Sad news. Hope all have a good week.
