Continuing our Red Tide avoidance, we rode our bikes to the community center and parked. Then we walked down Michigan Avenue to the Pinellas Trail. From there we walked south to Hammock Park and then headed east through the park and through a couple of neighborhood streets and then back to Highlander Park and the community center.
Scenery from Hammock Park
The park was shaded and comfortable in the upper 70-degree weather. The high temperature for the day was 85.
I really like Hammock Park.

Bougainvillea?
After we rode home, we got Toby and the golf cart and headed to the Palm Cafe for lunch, which was closed due to some unexpected event. So we rode downtown to find a pet-suitable restaurant.
We ended up at Pearly’s. It’s under new management.
Toby settled about 75% of the time. He got filthy in the shells and dirt. He got a shower when he got home. It was good practice for him.
We both got the fish sandwich, not as good as Carvor’s or Happy’s Bayou Bites. The fruit and lemonade were great!
It was good to try something different. We’ll have smoothies and turkey sandwiches for dinner.
We enjoyed the Dunedin Musical Society playing downtown alongside the Pinellas Trail. We parked nearby.
I rode my bike to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park after lunch. I took my yoga mat and did core exercises for 30 minutes before doing pull-ups and dips. I really enjoy my time at the gym, very relaxing.
Miles walked: 8.5
Miles biked: 8.73

Sounds like a good day. I played tennis, got my hair cut and nails done. Shoveled compost around my roses and enjoyed a slower paced day because I chose not to go to the gym or to take Courtney somewhere. Needed a break from the rush rush.
