All our vigorous walking over the weekend left me pooped today at the gym; however, I showed up and that’s what counts. It was 84 degrees and I rode my bike into an 11 mph wind to get there.
Friday, I did 101 pull-ups and chin ups; today I could only do 44. Some days are easy and some are hard. I did get thirty minutes of yoga in.
We had a good walk on the causeway this morning. There was very little breeze, so it felt like summer.
On my way to the gym, I was overwhelmed by the beautiful sky: dark blue with white puffy clouds. I stopped to take a couple of pictures.
Nice!
We all took a trip in the golf cart to Highlander Park for a walk later in the afternoon. Toby was on a short leash and well behaved. We both think he’s more calm when we assert ourselves.
We had pasta with a homemade sauce with our homegrown basil leaves. Toby stayed in his bed beside us. He got up once, but we sent him back to his bed. Last night we had to put him on a leash to get him to stay. Tonight, he stayed on his own. We think this training is going to help next time we take him out for a meal.
Miles walked: 11
Miles biked: 10.69

Dad’s appointment went well. His neck doc wanted to document his post ablation status. She restated the veins would eventually reunite and would need another procedure. She wants to see him in 9 months. However next time he would only need the ablation and not the 2 sessions prior to the ablation.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of progress you are making with Toby. Relax, do your best and enjoy time as a family. I didn’t realize the extra photos of Monticello until yoday. Love all the changes. I always wanted to take the wall down between the living and dining room. Also loved the family room mantle. I remember you taking that down as though it was yesterday. Quite a memory. You are very gifted.
At 3:35 moments before my book club started arriving, I was cutting flowers from my yard defrosting the frozen cheese cake. The only thing that did not get done, was a Maggie bath and she needs one. They loved her anyway. Still have a lot to do in my yard but I can do It in my own pace
