I made it to Weaver Park for yoga this morning about 8:30. I got lucky with cloud cover, but it was really hot. I was completely soaked by the time I got home for lunch.
I rode down to Stevenson's Creek afterwards, creating my own breeze.
We walked Toby this morning at sunrise and ran into a couple of neighbors walking their dogs. The five of us and three dogs walked the rest of the way together. The conversation was all about the governor and how ridiculous he is bragging about how anti-gay and anti-trans he is, and accusing Trump of being gay-friendly and trans-friendly (not true!). Our neighbor has a trans grandchild, so she was not happy. I thought elections were about attracting the support of as many people as possible, not repelling voters and demeaning whole classes of people.
I read about and viewed parts of a commencement speech by the Democratic governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker, who said it's easy to know who is the biggest idiot: just pay attention to who is being the most cruel. By that definition, our governor is a big idiot.
Toby fell asleep on his bed during our lunch with his nose almost touching the floor.
The house we toured this weekend had a pending offer on the second day!
This pumice stone from Amazon arrived today, $11. It's great for hard water stains.
We're thinking of having a "Before and After" party for our kitchen and inviting all the people we know in the neighborhood for a drop in. Between COVID and our own introverted natures, only a couple of people have ever been inside. We could display the plans and our selections and then have people come back in six months to see the finished project. Our current kitchen is hideous enough to be the center of attention at a party, don't you think? It would also be a good way to give our immediate neighbors a "heads up" so they will know why there are so many service trucks in the street. We were thinking of giving them a gift basket to compensate for the inconvenience.
We took Toby to Stirling Park for a walk and then to Highlander Park for a ride in the golf cart.
Such a good, good boy!

love love the idea of a party! love the pics of Toby.

DeSantis is going no where. He will get the message.
Dad’s rash continues to be a problem. He went to Urgent Care this morning. No suggestion as to what was causing the problem. He did get another appointment with his dermatologist this Wednesday. Pam how did you resolve your skin issue?
