Thursday

Our neighbors brought us Krispy Kreme doughnuts this afternoon, hats and all.

We had lunch together last week downtown at Carver's. We sometimes walk together with our dogs.

Anne, on the right, is a former event planner. Lisa, on the left, is a web designer, yoga teacher, and several other things. They both love Toby. Anne wants to baby sit him. She has a little Jack Russel, and Lisa has two rescue dogs, a white one and a black one about the size of Toby.

Toby wore the hat for a second or two.

They were in Tampa for lunch. There's a Krispy Kreme there. They wanted to bring us the pink donuts for our kitchen. That won them a house tour.

This morning, it was hot with no breeze, so we drove the car to Publix and walked north on the Pinellas Trail.

We crossed Alt. 19 and kept walking all the way to Ozona.

We turned around at this tire place where we all stopped to use the restroom once.

We had pretty good shade and nice views.

John, on the bridge ramp.

Crape Myrtles blooming alongside the ramp.

On the way home from walking Toby last night, there were two rainbows in the sky, one to the east and one to the south.

Close up of the one from the south.

The rainbow from the east is mostly covered by clouds.

We received our new backsplash samples today. I love this tile, but not the color. It comes in a lighter blue/turquoise color that is out of stock and on back order.

The tile above would look like this once installed. The color I like is the fifth one in the selection above.

This one is surprisingly nice.

Installed, it would look like this. The tiles are really small. The designer thought they were too small.

This one is ceramic and we don't like it.

This one is ceramic and too rustic.

The two on the wall on the right and left are the new ones. The center one is our leading choice, along with the 2x2 turquoise tiles below them.
