Wednesday-Friday

We knew that a storm front was moving through after lunch, so John stretched at home and played his new computer game while I took the car to Weaver Park. I did yoga, weights, and then jogged south on the Pinellas Trail to Albert St, then cut through to Edgewater Park and jogged back to Weaver Park by running along the waterfront at Victoria Drive. The wind was strong. It was warm and cloudy. I was able to do everything in a couple of hours and get back home for lunch.

Friday morning, we walked and jogged the causeway. We started at Walgreens where we picked up a prescription. Then we jogged and walked almost to the state park gate. We stopped at Publix on the way home to restock our pantry and fridge. We had brunch consisting of an orange, raspberries, walnuts, and an apple.

We had leftover kale, chicken, quinoa for dinner.

We took a walk around the lake in the shade with Toby.

We wanted to fix something Mexican for dinner, so we found this recipe online. One pot, quick, easy, and delicious.

I fixed a dessert with a dollop of honey vanilla yogurt, raspberries, dark chocolate, and walnuts. I've been drinking tomato juice for lunch and dinner.

We received our bathroom and flooring contract late this afternoon. No surprises. We have an appointment on Tuesday to ask questions and sign the contract. We hope to leave the meeting with a rough idea of the starting date. Because we're replacing the flooring in the whole house (except for the two back bedrooms), this project will be very disruptive, but the flooring should go pretty quickly, at least. It will be fun buying all the fixtures and tub for the bathroom. We will also dismantle our new closet. I don't think it will be too difficult, as long as we label everything.

We talked this evening about doing the project. It's better to do it now and enjoy it than to have to do it later to sell the house. The bathroom clearly needs updating, and the rug in the bedroom is beyond disgusting. The rest of the floor in the house is okay, but it is dated and would clash with the new flooring in the bedroom. A bonus is that we get to do the sunroom in the same tile and replace the front entrance tile outside, which is also pink, of course. The project is a difficult one to break up into pieces since the floor is a unifying element. We are saving the back bathroom for later, but we went ahead and ordered the tile so it will match when we get around to updating that bathroom.
