Monday (Demolition Day)

Old tub drain and water supply

garden tub piping

old shower pan

no tile

The renovators wrapped up everything before demolition.

Tile, vanity gone

old shower and tub

same

old berber carpet, gone

tile gone

wrapped lights, no tile

fridge and cabinets wrapped

cabinet and stove wrapped, floor gone

hallway tile gone

washer and dryer wrapped, no tile

The even sealed the upper cabinets.

And the empty linen closet and laundry sink

John, Toby, and I spent the day in various parks to stay out of the way of the workers.

Hammock Park, fern trail

Our old bathroom stuff

They hauled things away in trash cans in the back of the truck.

Lots of trash cans.

Lots.

We counted five workers.

They arrived after 8 am and left after 3 pm.

Fast work

We had a picnic lunch at Honeymoon Island.

Toby was great! He only had one 5-minute nap all day.

We got Pub subs and apples.

In the morning, we walked the causeway and then parked to watch the walkers and fishermen.

Toby settled down and enjoyed the scenery.

We folded the seats down and stretched out.

Toby was in the middle of everything.

Showing his appreciation and love for just being together.

Who needs a nap?

We recycled the cardboard at the local recycling center and took Toby for a walk in Stirling Park. Everyone will sleep well tonight.
