Summer salad
This loquat tree died this summer.
Our neighbor's handyman cut it down and bundled it for us.
All gone
We attended the mayoral meet and greet at a neighbor's house to hear from our favorite candidate. The candidate made a presentation and answered questions. We got to talk with neighbors, and we even got a house tour of one of the other attendees on the way home, along with the renovation stories. Then we came home and did last minute preparations for the demolition on Monday.
We've moved into the back bathroom, decorative tile stashed under the vanity.
The back bedroom will be our living space for the next two months.
The front bedroom is packed with stuff.
As is the sunroom.
I've got a nook tucked away in the corner for computer work and reading.
The renovators will leave the washer and dryer in place so we can use them. They will remove the washer and dryer and the tiles by hand when they are ready to install new tile.
They will remove most of the laundry room floor tile tomorrow.
All empty and ready for demo.
I will be glad when the tile runway is gone.

Enjoy it now while you can.

Our renovators recommended placing damp towels under the doorway to keep dust out and to give us something to wipe our feet on when entering our "clean" rooms. We've been told that the amount of dust is unbelievable from tile removal--that it takes forever to get rid of it all.
As you can see, the floor tile is not in good a shape as it might appear. These 6 tiles popped up in the last few months. This time tomorrow, the rest of the house will look like this concrete floor.
I think we're ready.
