Monday & Tuesday

Our golf cart is almost 2 1/2 years old and in need of new rear tires. We have 3,665 miles on it. Golf cart tires can last 5-6 years, but are susceptible to dry rot after that, according to the Internet. Some say they should be replaced after 3 years. Our neighbor says 5 years. The tread on the front tires is great, but the rear tires are a mess. John found a tire store within the golf cart zone that will replace our tires for $25 each. So, we ordered two replacement tires from Amazon, at $44 each. We'll be able to load them up in the back cargo area and drive the cart downtown where the tire store is located. We'll be able to do it all for about $150. We'll either wait or walk home, about 3 miles. Our quote from the golf cart store for four tires was $1,000, including coming to the house and picking the cart up on a flat bed trailer and bringing it back, since the store is outside the golf cart zone. Crazy, huh?

We disassembled our bed.

We moved the bed to the sunroom. We have plenty of room for the love seat, rug, and bedroom dresser. I even have a nook in the near right corner for the computer and for Toby's food. And a chair for reading. I've always enjoyed small spaces.

The front bedroom is filling up fast.

The back bedroom is shaping up as our bedroom for the next two months. Toby has his bed.

We have the TV for entertainment.

Special bonus: Toby gets a great view of the neighbor's backyard and their dog, Jack.

One of our neighbors made a pot of soup for us because of my prostate biopsy on Wednesday.

With bread and cupcakes!

Another neighbor is sending over her handyman on Saturday to give us a quote for cutting down the dead loquat tree in our front yard.

I'm not sorry to see it go. It shed leaves like crazy, year round.

Sunday, we've been invited to meet a Dunedin mayoral candidate at a neighbor's house. We think she's the best candidate because she will continue the progress of the previous mayor.
