Thursday

One of my quarterly maintenance tasks is to clear the entrance, front windows, and garage door of dead bugs and cobwebs. I've been doing it with the spray nozzle on the hose, using water. But I've seen the professional exterminators using a cobweb removal tool shown above. You attach it to a long pole, like our extendable paint pole. It's long enough to reach the entrance alcove at the very top. So I ordered one from Amazon and tried it out. It works. It's quicker than using the hose and it doesn't use water. Great tool for less than $15.

We rode our bike to Publix Thursday before lunch to pick up ingredients to make a healthy squash casserole. We used 2% milk instead of heavy cream.

John cooked chicken breasts in the crockpot for our lunch sandwiches. We plucked out one to go with our casserole dish. We added a raspberry spinach salad and a sweet potato.

Thursday afternoon, we rode our bikes to Walgreen's to pick up a prescription. We both got a new pair of sunglasses. The picture above is from our trip back on the Pinellas Trail. My phone holder strap obscured the lens a little bit.

We had another late afternoon and evening thunderstorm. Heavy downpour. There are retention ponds that have never had water in them that have water in them this year.
