Thursday (flooring, day 3)

It's starting to feel a bit claustrophobic as the tilers move closer and closer to our one room that's not a complete mess.

Today's challenge was the kitchen island. They tiled all the way around it and some in the eat-in kitchen. They've got the oven on a rolling cart so that they can shift it around and tile under it. But the kitchen is unusable at the moment. Tomorrow, they'll move the fridge and finish the kitchen and eat-in.

The living room is complete.

There's a thin strip left in the kitchen and under the fridge. They'll need to roll the fridge on top of the new tile and tile under where it belongs. By tomorrow, these new tiles should be set.

They still have a corner of the dining room to tile.

But they made it into the hallway.

What a mess!
Tomorrow, they will finish the kitchen, eat-in, and dining room. They may also complete the laundry room. Once the washer and dryer are moved into the garage, they will have to stay out there until grouting is complete. They probably will not get to the back hallway tomorrow. That also leaves the rest of the primary bedroom and bath for next week.
