Saturday

We cleaned windows in the sunroom, primary bedroom and bath this afternoon using my new method of water and microfiber cloths. After using a wet cloth, I followed up with a dry one to remove streaks.

I think they look great.

I painted the back of the bedroom doors and trim so that I could put the new polished chrome hinges on.

The easiest project so far. I'm waiting to put on the door handles after the workers take out the old molding and install the new. We're still figuring out where to put things while they work. We have to empty the closets too. We're not sure when they're going to do this work. I've only painted enough baseboards for the hall, eat-in, and few other places.

While I had a paint brush in my hand, I painted this side of the pocket door and trim. I'll wait on painting the other side after we finish renovating that room. Our last pocket door latch arrived early this morning. I set it aside until after the demolition and painting.

It was a beautiful day with a high of 66 degrees. Cool but sunny.

  1. Love the window cleaning suggestion. Will try that on the inside when Christmas rush is over. You always come up with the best suggestions.
