It was a beautiful spring day with a high temperature of 75 degrees today. Blooms are everywhere. But we did walk in our shorts and hoodies at 58 degrees this morning.
We found out late Friday that the tilers would be coming Monday afternoon. That got our construction folks focused on finishing the tub installation Monday morning. Once the tub is installed, the tilers can tile all of the bathroom and the two bedrooms. John and I moved things out of the two bedrooms over the weekend.
The tilers will likely begin here or in the bathroom, and then move to the front bedroom where we have stored the tile. The bedroom above is where we lived for four months while they were tiling the rest of the house last year.
Our dining room is now our storage room.
As is our eat-in kitchen.
And part of our sunroom.
It's been over two years since we started the kitchen renovation. Since then our house has been in disarray, ever shifting from one mess to another. We'll be glad when it's over.
Our new bidet for the back bathroom arrived this afternoon.
This one is non-electric, much simpler. After using the Toto Washlet with all the bells and whistles for our primary bath, we decided that this simpler version would meet our needs in the back bathroom. It's a lot less expensive and does not require a new electrical line. It got good reviews, so we'll see.
Toby got a shower tonight.
You and John deserve a medal for the way you have handled your renovations. I had our carpets cleaned Monday and it wasn't as easy as when you last cleaned our carpets. Stuff everywhere on Monday. I still have one rug that may need a redo in spots (dinette). The carpet cleaner is coming this afternoon to lookout it.
