Coachman park was preparing for a dog agility show on the lawn, complete with a stage,
tents, and reviewing stands.
It looked like a pretty big event.
Can't beat the location.
I rode my bike after lunch when the temperature had warmed up to 72 degrees. We followed our winter routine by walking this morning when it was windy and 68 degrees--too cold for a bike ride. We walked to Publix to pick up some bananas. John jogged almost to Publix and then turned around to meet me near the Curlew creek bridge. We walked the rest of the way to Publix together and then home for lunch.
For my stretching exercises at Coachman park, I had to find another place separate from the lawn.
I found this shaded spot across from the fountain on the southern edge of the park, nearly under the bridge.
This beautiful tree gave me shade, and the 14 mph breeze made the leaves flutter like an introverted wind chime.
Peaceful and relaxing away from the pre-event hubbub.
I took this picture of a giant mural near the library on the way home. You can't tell from this picture, but it's about 15 feet tall and 20 feet wide.
As I crossed Stevenson creek on the way home, I saw the snout of a manatee coming out of the water. I turned around a followed his path to the bridge I was on.
And then I shifted to the other side to see him resurface on his way out to the sound.
It's good to see them surviving, especially in this creek, which is notorious for sewage overflows whenever it rains hard.
Last year's hurricanes caused a great deal of waste contamination in the creek.
They persist for now.

Enjoyed the manatee photos. Coachman Park is beautiful wherever you exercise.
