Wednesday

We didn't have any scheduled workers today, so John jogged in the neighborhood and I biked to Coachman Park in Clearwater to stretch.

The lithe causeway overhead.

The marina in front of me.

Last walk of the day, at a cool 79 degrees, in Stirling Park.

I found a couple of colors to think about: Blue Veil (on the right) with the trim color Chantilly Lace on the left.

If that's too dark, I found Fanfare (on the right) with the trim color on the left.

Fanfare (left) and Blue Veil (right) are very similar, both a light cyan. The tricky thing about our color selection process is that all the colors look darker on the house. We think it's because of the rough stucco; it creates shadows in the hollows. We might try one or both of these tomorrow.

In the meantime, we've decided to pressure wash the house ourselves, so we bought one online. It arrives tomorrow. This will allow us to go at our own pace and not have to have the house washed at one time. If we clean the front and have time to paint before the roof arrives, we can determine if we are on the right track instead of hiring someone to paint it all and not like it. It is cheaper to buy a pressure washer and paint/supplies than to pay someone to do both. We may end up spending the same amount on paint, but at least we will be sure. We will buy a gallon at a time.
