Tuesday

The workers returned before 8:00 this morning. They started on the front side.

Meanwhile, I taped the front door to paint the decorative dividers on the door glass. Because the dividers are not true muntins, John came up with the idea of using paper behind the dividers instead of having to tape off each individual pane.

It made the actual painting go fast.

Our front yard looks like a disaster today. We had a major traffic jam this morning when the sanitation trucks (garbage, yard waste, recycling) had to come through. Plus, the across the street neighbors are still having contractors park in front of their house. Our neighbors struggled to navigate the mess.

The workers are making their way through the panels.

I finished painting the grids, two coats.

The paper/tape combo saved a lot of clean up time.

Most of the work on the roof today was detail work that isn't that visible, like trim work and valleys and flashing, but they did complete the right side above the primary bathroom.

They did the flashing around the tower.

On both sides.

Here's a close up of the roof above the primary bath.

The almost completed the skirt on the south side, which involves a lot of work but not a whole lot to show for it.

They did the valley between one side of the garage and the house.

And the valley above one side of the tower. They left at 5:45 as darkness descended.
