Beach Pictures

 Best sunset yet!

We enjoyed a beautiful walk on the beach this morning after walking Dee Dee. These pictures are from the north end of Honeymoon Island where it’s quiet and sparsely populated.

The water was crystal clear.

Dee Dee enjoying her early morning causeway walk.

Her doctor called this afternoon to check on her. He didn’t have any more suggestions, except for draining the excess fluid with a syringe. He says the fluids usually come back but we could try that if she has trouble breathing. He was glad that the edema hadn’t come back. That was good news, he said. We will pick up medicine refills Friday. He said to do it in small batches in case she goes down quickly. I appreciate that.

The picture with the flags is from the house that had chandeliers in the trees for Christmas. They made a point to include a gay pride flag in the grouping. June is gay pride month.
I saw a blog a few days ago with two pictures of the White House, one from 2015 and one from 2020. The one from 2015 had the White House lit up in the rainbow colors of the gay flag. The one from 2020 had wafting smoke, soldiers, and protesters with the White House being barely visible. This shot was taken as soldiers were ordered to use pepper spray and flash canisters against peaceful Americans so the president could take a picture holding up a bible in front of a church.

These pictures are scenes from the after effects of Tropical Storm Cristobal that hit New Orleans on Sunday, June 7.

This scene is from Wednesday, June 10. Perfect day at the beach.

These pictures are of are baby Dee Dee, hanging in there.
