I saw this image today in the local news and it made me laugh. It accurately captures the way many people feel about the last part of January.
I rode my bike out to Honeymoon Island after lunch. It was a glorious 79 degrees with a 10 mph breeze.
This is the winter landscape on the island.
I sat in the swing and enjoyed the warm sun.
You can see the storm erosion where sea oats used to be.
I went for a walk on the beach and lamented all the missing sand. It was only six months ago when this was a wide beach.
It was in the low 60s this morning on our causeway walk.
I wore my age appropriate health accessory.
On our late afternoon Toby walk, a woman we met in this neighborhood stopped her car to talk with us. She’s a talker, so it gave me an opportunity to work with Toby. She had just gotten back from a yoga class at the community center and was excited to talk about it.
We had a Jet’s Pizza for dinner and then took our last Toby walk.
We rounded Lake Saundra just as the sun was setting.
Today’s bike route out to Honeymoon Island
Our lack of a printer forced me to download a Word document from our insurance company into Pages, fill in some information, draw a signature image and place it on the form, save the document as a PDF file, and then attach it to an email—all on my phone! That beats printing, scanning, and attaching. I wouldn’t have wanted to learn how if we had a printer. I really like not having any paper.
Miles walked: 13.5
