Toby had to get in a down/stay for two minutes.
John got him to do it twice.
We practiced a wait/come/STOP. And we practiced a sit/wait/come/leave it. He had to walk by a delicious treat and ignore it. He did it three out of four times.
We practiced leaving him with a stranger while he stays in a down. We walked away out of sight without him getting up.
We practiced healing and switching. And sit/wait/come. He did the best he’s done in this class so far. We’re relieved. Dog training is the only stressful thing we have to face each week, which says a lot about how lucky we are.
We rode our bikes to the causeway to walk this morning. The temperature was in the mid 70s. The high for the day was 86.
Miles walked: 11.8
Miles biked: 6
