We never know which Toby is going to show up for training: Mr. Banana Head or the Talented Mr. Toby. Today, he was all talent, with a few moments of brilliance.
We did a combination of commands without treats, walk away and return with a stranger holding his leash without him getting up, “back, back, back” in a narrow hallway, switch sides walking on a leash and automatic sits when stopping on a leash walk, come/wait, and sitting while being petted by a stranger.
I’m very happy that he did some commands he refused to do last week, and he did them without treats. We worked hard since last week on that, and I wasn’t sure he was going to be able to do it.
All the dogs did well today.
We are all exhausted. So glad when Mondays are over! It’s mentally taxing for everyone.
It looks like beautiful weather for the the next 10 days, except for Thursday.

The first draft of a painting is always the ugliest. I would hate to have 37,000 people looking over my shoulder!

We walked the causeway this morning after our Toby walk, had lunch, and then I went to my annual doctor’s appointment. Blood test scheduled for March 30. Vitals were good. She spent 45 minutes with me going over all my aches and pains. She’s very attentive and makes good suggestions that I can follow without medication. I got my ten year tetanus shot.
Out on our afternoon walk, we got invited to a neighborhood party Friday. We met this couple at another recent party.
