It takes so little to make a dog happy.

I thought these palm tree leaves made an interesting sculpture. We passed these on our early morning walk.

We saw these kayakers on our causeway walk. 

We passed a neighbor yesterday who said (sarcastically) that we need to get out of the house more.

Construction progress on expanding the number of booths at the state park entrance. 

We passed some neighbors walking on the Causeway Trail. The woman said, “Y’all sure do get around.” 

The weather today has been near perfect: sunny and 75 degrees.

Pure joy.

Mid afternoon, Toby was standing by the door. We had just walked him, so I knew he didn’t need to pee. I took him out anyway, and all he wanted to do was sit in the warm grass and smell the breeze.

We watched a woman go by on a bike and then a woman walking two dogs. Toby just sat and watched.

Toby’s “helping” John to get his shoes on so we can go for a walk.

John got this shot of the water tower. It looks like they’ve started painting the tortoise. You’ll be able to see it clearly coming down Curlew.
