John took this picture on our early morning walk with Toby. It was a warm 70 degrees. The great white egret is standing in very shallow water at Lake Saundra.
Toby found some kid’s toy on his walk. He brought it all the way home and gutted it. We took him to daycare and drove to the causeway and tried to walk. After about a mile, we got caught in the rain. We made a run for it to get back to the car. Then we went to Beall’s Outlet and picked up a few things. Contrary to most Floridians, we only get out to go shopping when it rains. We had lunch and picked Toby up and hunkered down for a rainy day as most Floridians do.
Tortoise progress.
The rain has been good for the grass. No blue skies today. This is one of the five days of the year when the skies are gray all day long.
We took advantage of being home and cleaned: laundry, floors, Toby shower, fresh sheets, swept and mopped the garage.
Miles walked: 6.6
Miles biked: 0
