Wednesday

After lunch, we took Toby downtown for a walk. We went down Scotland Avenue because of the shade. This garden of succulents is thriving.

The high temperature today was 82 degrees, but the strong breeze kept us comfortable.

This fountain is in front of the boutiques next to this summer’s rental for my family.

This is the newly completed mural on the side of Blur nightclub.

We did a pit stop at the marina restrooms.

Our morning causeway walk was 75 degrees. The wind was blowing 15 mph.

The wind is fierce when you are riding against it.

We stopped to look at this new listing on Taylor Avenue in our neighborhood. It’s a big house in need of updating.

This lovely statue is next door to the house for sale. I think I’d rather have a hot tub next door, John said.

On our late afternoon walk, Toby dove in to the cool, green grass—frog legged.

Nose first.

John fixed salmon in the crockpot, with butternut squash, and rice. Wonderful flavors. He cooked the fish in chicken broth, olive oil, honey, and balsamic vinaigrette.

I raked the yard this afternoon and filled up two 32-gallon bins.

Last walk of the day.

Now, we’re settling in to watch “Rita” on Netflix.
