We took Toby to daycare this morning. The temperature was in the mid 60s, and the wind was blowing 14 mph. We decided to come home and read instead of walk. After lunch, we picked up Toby and put him in his crate for a nap, and headed to Stirling Park on our golf cart to walk to the Dunedin Causeway and Honeymoon Island. By 1:00, the temperature had warmed up to 70 degrees. John took the picture above of the Jeep on the causeway. Jeeps and golf carts are very popular here.
John took this picture of the turtles under the water. This tidal ditch is beside the Stirling driving range and flows in and out of Curlew Creek.
This is one of the two putting greens at Stirling and the driving range is off in the distance. The Pinellas Trail (and the ditch in the previous picture) is off to the left.
Another Stirling Park resident.
Same ditch along the Pinellas Trail. I like the way the duck weeds grow on the surface of the water and make a green carpet. In the spring, the entire surface is covered.
The sky and water were beautiful today.
We started the walk in long sleeves, but ended it with short sleeves.
We finished up the spaghetti for lunch. For dinner we had chicken salad sandwiches and for dessert a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with blueberries.
We took a sunset ride/walk to Stirling Park. It was 70 degrees and windy. We were all freezing!
We worked with Toby this afternoon and on this last walk to keep him (and us) from forgetting what he’s learned.
We are so lucky to have Stirling Park for walking, especially in winter because it gets direct sun. We also like that it’s wide open, so we can avoid crazy dogs.

Our dining room flower bed. I'm happy to say all these plants came back on their own without an ounce of human help.
