Saturday

I ordered three floating frames for our unframed canvas artwork. The package of three on Amazon was only $75.

It was easy to mount the painting to the frame. All the pieces were included, even the picture hanging wire apparatus.

I've been looking for this type of frame forever, but they are usually $75 for one frame.

The floating frame is great for canvas because you can see the painted sides.

Bargain of the year.

I liked the new frames so much that I'm going to order more to finish up our unframed art work: our dogs and the triptych of the houseboats in Key West that we painted together. Maybe we'll get inspired to do some more painting.

We went to the Fairway Estates Spring Fling this afternoon. We took our golf cart and planned on making only a brief appearance. We ended up staying almost two hours. We met lots of new people. Most of them walked up to us saying the same thing: "I see you guys walking by my house all the time." We met people from Maine, Texas, and Connecticut. Almost everyone is a recent arrival. We only met one man who's been here 25 years. Friendly people, all enjoying retirement and the wonderful weather. It was sunny and 70 degrees today, and everyone was complaining, even the folks from Maine were cold. Floridians quickly come to expect 80 degree weather and blue skies every day.

After our morning Toby walk, we put him in his crate to nap while we took the golf cart to Stirling and did our 7-mile walk on the Pinellas Trail and Causeway Trail to Honeymoon Island and back.

The tidal bridge is always a good spot to pause for a picture.

This picture is a zoom of the shot above so that I could get the kayaker. Pretty good zoom for a phone camera.

We came upon a familiar line up on the causeway, but upon closer inspection, it was not the usual grouping of Jeeps, but Broncos.

All of them were new except for the vintage one in spot number one. The Dunedin Causeway Jeep Club has got competition. The owners were clumped together, sharing stories with one another, as people do who share a hobby.

Our last walk of the day at 7:00 p.m. We are appreciating the longer days of daylight and (relative) warmth. I didn't notice at the time, but my shadow is covering Toby's face. Boo.

How do you like this selfie shadow? Gotcha!
