After 13 years, we decided to get a new vacuum cleaner to replace our old dyson. I knew I wanted a cordless one so that I could move faster and not have to stop and keep up with the cord.
I did research and discovered that Tineco makes a pretty good all around stick vac that compares well to the latest dyson stick vacs.
While it was charging, I vacuumed the house with our old dyson. Then with a full charge on the new vac I set about to see if it could pick up more dirt. I was pleased that it did, although with the new vac I could get to places I couldn’t with the old one: under cabinets, sofas, around floor lamps, etc. It was also lighter and easier to vacuum sofa cushions and dog beds than the dyson. It was great to not have to stop to replug. After I was through, I had 13% battery left. They sell a second battery for folks with bigger houses.
Now that I’m looking at this picture, I realize that l could have run the cord into the closet to hide the vacuum. Sigh. We were going to hang it in the garage, but the lithium battery needs a cooler place. I’ll probably rehang it. It wouldn’t be the first time.
We woke up this morning with sick stomachs. We never vomited, but it was touch and go. We must have had a light case of food poisoning. I went back to bed at 6:30 and slept until lunch. We ate light and did just the required dog walking. After lunch, we felt better but we took it easy—just cleaning and raking leaves (again!).
This is the first day since April 1 that we haven’t used the golf cart.
Speaking of golf carts, we were wondering how it would affect our electric bill. It came today with a zero charge for this month and a $7 credit for next month! It seems Duke Energy made a billing error in the two previous months. Weird, because the amounts were in line with last year’s bills.
