We went to a birthday brunch on Jones Street. The guys always have clever holiday and birthday yard art. They put little baby bunnies all around their yard and their neighbors' yards.
Little bunnies hidden everywhere.
We had delicious food, talked to neighbors we had met before and met some new people. The disco ball around John's neck was a party favor for each guest. The theme of the party was Studio 54 because Ken turned 54.
We talked pools, golf carts, fencing, restaurants, doggie daycare and yard make-overs.
After the party and a light lunch, I rode my bike to the Weaver Park gym to exercise. The high today was 73 degrees. The skies were clear and sunny. This morning, the temperature was in the low 50s! I had to drag out my track suit for our morning walk. Boo!
We took a golf cart ride to Highlander Park to walk Toby and practice some training.
There were a couple of people swimming laps in the Highlander pool. One of them was wearing a wet suit. Brr.
We walked from Highlander Park to the Community Center next door.
We did some cart riding around the neighborhood.
John got this shot of a turtle at Lake Saundra, seconds before he jumped in the water and disappeared. Pretty picture, don't you think?
After dinner, we all three got in the golf cart and rode down to Stirling Park. We walked, did some on leash training (heel, walk, heel, walk, heel with automatic sits, front). Then, since no one else was at the park, we practiced off-leash commands (down stay, come, sit, come).
He did them all perfectly. We used treats, since we were off leash.
We hung our Studio 54 disco balls on our golf cart rear view mirror. Toby likes watching them jiggle about. The front windshield folds in half so that you can enjoy the breeze or shield yourself from the breeze. At 72 degrees, we choose up.
The sun on the disco balls casts a moving light show on the roof of the cart. If only we had a cat . . .
The Easter Bunny is hiding in Stirling Park.
