Tuesday

We rode our bikes to Walgreens and walked the entire causeway, from Bayshore to Honeymoon Island, about 5 miles round trip. We stopped by Publix to pick up some fresh fruit on the way home. The oleander are in bloom on the causeway.

John got a shot of this bird drying its wings in the sun.

The temperature was 75 degrees when we began our walk, with a 7 mph breeze.

The high temperature today was 85 degrees.

I went to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park after lunch. Then I came home and cleaned house and raked leaves. John cooked chicken breasts and rice in the crockpot, seasoned with curry and turmeric. Lean protein is good after a workout.

In the late afternoon, we took Toby in the golf cart to the community center to walk in the shade.

We drove by Lake Saundra on the way home. When we’re out in the cart, we both have a tendency to take the long way home because it’s so much fun to ride. I call it the corkscrew route: round and round without making a lot of progress.

Not sure what this is, but it’s full of blooms.

Hydrangeas at the front window.

Our dog trainer sent us this picture of Toby’s last graduation as a reminder of our upcoming training.

Today’s bike routes to Walgreens, Publix, and Weaver Park

Miles walked: 13.7
Miles biked: 10.52
