Toby got to go to Dogtopia today for his first all day session. We dropped him off about 8:30 before we headed to our dermatology appointment. (He’s in the center of the room.)
We watched him on the webcam throughout the day. It was not what we expected. We thought the dogs wrestled and played all day, but they mostly just walk around.
Most of the time, he was on his feet, walking around and sometimes playing with another dog. He laid down a few times.
In the picture above, he's down on the floor playing with the gray and black hound dog. We met the owner on that dog when we dropped him off. He said Toby was well-suited for playing with his dog because they have the same energy level. They always seemed to be near each other today.
The dermatologist removed the growth under my eye for a biopsy. He thought it was harmless, but wanted to make sure. My bottom eyelid is a bit bruised and swollen. I had a bump frozen on my scalp, but everything else checked out okay. John had some bumps frozen, too.
We came home from the doctor's and rode our bikes out to the causeway to walk, about an hour behind our normal schedule.
It was mostly cloudy and in the low 80s with 50% humidity. It was a challenging walk, but bearable.
We got to see the progress on the Honeymoon Island walkway/bikeway. They've planted sod between the walkway and the road. That's going to give drivers a visual guideline to keep them in their lane. Also, now that the walkway looks like a walkway instead of an extra lane, I think cars will stay out of it. This project ends at the end of the month, when they'll open up the new entrance booth and a couple of new lanes--just in time for the Fourth of July.
After lunch, we walked to the Pinellas Trail from our house, to Hammock Park, and back through the Waybridge neighborhood and then home.
We picked Toby up from daycare and drove to pickup dinner at New Bamboo. We passed by the turtle water tower, in progress.
Toby got a shower after dinner.
Last walk of the day
John’s Lake Saundra shot
We watched more “The House of Flowers” on Netflix.
Miles walked: 9.2
Miles biked: 6.60
