Saturday

We woke up to cooler temperatures this morning. It was 75 degrees when we made it to the causeway to walk.

It was a beautiful day.

After lunch, we went to and open house in the neighborhood. The outside colors were not that good, but the inside was beautiful. There were 4 bedrooms and three baths and three sitting areas. The living area and kitchen were open. Everything was updated—floor to ceiling. The backyard was small and the laundry was in the garage. The garage was for two cars, but very small.

We revisited the house on the corner from us. They were having another open house. It’s smaller than the first one above, and the renovation was not well done. It has a bigger yard and garage.

The market here is trying to stabilize after exploding during the pandemic. Prices are coming down.

I had a two hour conversation with Karen this afternoon and got caught up on DTCC news. It’s always good to talk with her.

After dinner, a strong thunderstorm moved through followed by a steady rain—good for the grass, trees, and flowers.

We’re watching Someone Has To Die on Netflix. It’s a Spanish movie that takes place in the Franco era. The main character is gay and has been living in Mexico with relatives, to avoid the war. He returns to be forced into a marriage and job by his family. So far, it has been sad and depressing.
