Saturday

It was nice and warm on the causeway this morning, about 75 degrees. The clouds were varied, so it never got too hot. The wind was blowing at 12 mph.

It never gets old looking at the water.

After lunch, we went to our neighborhood spring fling at Lake Saundra. I always dread going because I don’t like crowds, but it always turns out great. From the first moment we walked up until we left an hour later, people came up to us or waved for us to come over to them. It never fails someone will say, “I see you guys walking every day.” We met several new people. The Easter Bunny showed up for the kids. The organizer’s husband asked how my sister was doing. We went to their house with Pam when she was here over Halloween.

The weather is looking great for the next 10 days.

This is our box of CDs, double layer, with many loose ones stacked on top. We plugged in the Super CD drive and inserted a disc. The computer recognized the CD and the title and songs, then asked if we wanted to copy it into our music library. Click “yes” and 10 minutes later, we have a digital copy in Apple Music that we can then download to our phones.

It’s going to take a while to get through them all. The stack above shows our completed pile.

By nightfall, we had made progress. We load a disk up for copying every time we leave the house. When we get back, it’s all done.

We took a late afternoon walk in the shade around Highlander Park. We drove over in the golf cart.

We talked with friends at the party that told us they’ve been coming to the gym at the community center over the winter. We had originally met them biking and walking on the causeway. They walk over to the gym, of course.

Toby’s covered in a blanket sleeping with his head in my lap as I write this blog.

Replacements, Ltd. texted me that they received our box and were reviewing it. We should hear from them in a week or so. I like the idea of turning stored and unused items into cash!

Miles walked: 11.3
Miles biked: 4.93

  1. ….”Unused items into cash”. A great statement! Bravo. Enjoyed your social event comments. Makes me proud. I made 2 dozen chocolate chip cookies and 2 1/2 dozen muffins with chocolate icing with nut sprinkles for the trip. I understand baked goods on the bus is a GS tradition. We will be on your schedule in the morning. Need to be at church at 7:30am. Getting up at 5:15. Ug!l Love to all.

  2. I spent the day prom dress shopping with Unika. I shed a few happy tears through the day. She is a beautiful soul inside and out. Jeff and I leave for Key West Monday and go to Julie’s tomorrow to take Maggie.
