Monday

The roofers were back this morning around 8:30. They are concentrating on the south side, but they are actually all over. They worked until 5:30. They hosed off the entire roof and gutters and then cleared all the debris from the gutters and the yard. They used huge magnets to sweep the yard and drive.

We're meeting with the project manager tomorrow morning (Tuesday) to go over everything before they schedule the city inspection.

There are some vent stacks that are missing their covers.

The covers were in the gutters until today, so they must be somewhere in the dumpster that is still out front.

I want to climb a ladder and inspect the four corners to make sure no critters can get in. This one looks perfect.

The workers replaced the downspouts from the upper gutter to the lower one. I thought those wouldn't be needed, but perhaps they need to remain. I suppose in a torrential downpour they will do a better job of getting the water in the gutter.

They screwed these covers into the stucco and concrete walls.

I need to get close to this one and make sure there isn't a gap.

Missing vent stack cover.

I think this one is good, but I want to see it up close.

Same with this one.

Covers screwed into the wall.

All the missing pieces got installed.

Looks good.

The workers removed the asphalt roof and installed the metal roof in 6 days of work stretched over 8 days. They took one day off when they ran out of supplies; they worked Saturday; and took off only Sunday.
