The anticipated rain has yet to arrive, so we worked on non-painting projects. It was 76 and cloudy this morning. We re-attached the gutter.
That was an easy project.
We cleaned and re-hung the hose holder.
We cleaned the hose and hung it up.
We took some more edging and cinder blocks to the curb, hoping someone wants them. These blocks were embedded in the flower beds. We threw away other detritus found in the beds.
Thinking ahead to when we paint this side of the house, we cleared out this back bed.
It shouldn't be too hard to paint around these bushes.
After lunch, with rain still in the forecast, but no rain in actuality, we decided to remove this cord cover. It was placed this far out because of the old utility boxes, but now it looks weird so far away from the electrical meter, especially with the exposed and dangling cord leading to it.
We took the cover off and removed the three screws.
We ordered this cord cover for the two cables that we need to hide. Projects lead to projects.
Removing the cord cover now will make it easier to paint. Moreover, we can place the new one closer to the electrical meter and away from the street.
The cord cover we ordered will be able to cover both of the cables above, in separate strips. Then we can paint the covers.
With no rain all day and partly sunny skies and 79 degrees, we decided to prime the lower north wall. We had time to roll and cut in . . . before the rain started. But since it's Florida, it only rained for 15 minutes. More rain is expected later.
We think we're going to keep the pony wall white since it's an accent piece. We primed it in preparation for Chantilly Lace next week.
I hope the rain doesn't mess up the primer. It's supposed to dry in 1 hour. Most of it had been on the wall for at least an hour.
This wall is looking better and better. The new cord covers will clean it up even more.
Tomorrow, we'll get another gallon of primer and put a second coat near the ground where we had so much damaged paint. We'll put some on the upper wall and on some stains here and there.

Cord cover project is awesome. Ya'll think of everything. No paint company would have spent this much time on these details.
